Blog 6: 5/20/16

Some of the things that I learned from the genius project it time management. I was not able to manage my tie well and because of this I was not able to achieve my first goal. Something else that I learned was financial management since I am working  with makeup product I need to buy them and that doesn't come cheap. So thought the time given to get the products I need I was able to manage my spending well. And it thinks I'm set for life. :) During the middle of the project I was frustrated because scheduling with other people also since was one of my goals was to make a video I did not have the money or the time to have it done. I will say that even after the struggles I was able to have a final product with professional portraits thanks to Michelle Sibrian Photography.

These are the final protraits

I am proud to say that I was able to accomplish in this project and I was able to see the more motivation and confidence my clients had after they were transformed.

Note: This is late to and I'm so bad at this.

I'm doing good so far I've been practicing with a model who's is going to be in my final video. Nothing has changed since the last entry. I'm kinda proud of all the progress that I have made. The past couple of weeks I was able to purchase the makeup needed in order to achieve the look. (a lot of it was donated) I very close to finishing my final product will be a presentation with professional portraits of the models it will be a before and after. The ports will be done by Michelle Sibrian Photography she was kind enough to take the time out of her schedule and help me.

Here are some photos of the practice of makeup.

Blog 4: 4/18/16

Note: This is late to and I'm so bad at this.

I'm doing a good job of getting the most important things done. I've been slightly stressed out but I have been making some progress. Some of my plans have changed I wanted to have male models but because of scheduling and cold feet I was not been able to have any, because of those changes I am not able to send the message I wanted but I will still be talking about male representation in makeup.

Blog 3: 3/8/16

Note: This blog is also late I'm sorry.

Ok, so I have my public pitch done so that is great in explaining why I am doing although it's not going to be that accurate I have made a slight change in my project but I didn't thnk is that import that I'm still doing four looks but with people who volunteered to have them makeup done with something they were maybe afraid to try. (I'm not saying I'm  a makeup artist it's just a way that I can experiment with makeup)
What I think that I need to work on the most is talking with the models and talk about on how they want their makeup to get done so I can practise and also I need to talk to the person is is going to help me make my final product happen.

Blog 2: 2/23/16

My genius project is going to be involving makeup and models. I what it to be like something that empowers the person a boost of confidence. I go the inspiration from a youtube video called "Power of Makeup" by the YouTuber NikkieTutorials I used this video as a starting point to see what I can makeup from it. The most exciting part of my project is working with other people and getting to experiment with makeup different color and personalities. I like how my passion for makeup can be done wit multiple people and personalities.

Blog 1: 1/27/16

Note: This was supposed to be done on the 21st sooo yeee.

Ok, sooo I am VERY excited for the Genius Project this year. What I am really excited for in this project is spending time, during class and working on a project on a topic that we enjoy doing and have the opportunity to make something that really matters to us and make an impact on our community. I am also very excited to see what the other students are working on.

The only question I have is that if the inquiry question I created is good enough or not and also if my question and be answered by me or other people. That is basically what I'm concerned about, sooo yeee. I also wonder what ideas the other students came up with, I also wonder if my topic is a good enough topic to give an impact towards not just my peers but to everyone. But overall I think this is going to be a cool project to work on.

Soooo right now the only ideas that I have is a makeup video where I do four intense looks to show people (mostly teens) that it is ok to express yourself in a bold way, my other idea is a social experiment where I interview people who identify as straight and ask them common questions that gay people get asked and then ask them if they ever ask these questions and also asked them how they felt after beeing told the questions. I am leaning towards the makeup video because it can be a way to improve my makeup skills and also put myself out of my comfort zone.

Hopefully, this project can help me find out who I am and show me how to express myself and hope that it does the same towards others.
